Community Climate Picnic with Touch Grass Club, Climate Justice Edmonton, and 350 Canada

Have the unprecedented extreme cold of the winter and heat this summer caused you worry? Are you feeling anxious about the future of our province amid forest fires?

Bring a picnic blanket and join us at North Glenora Park (13535 109A Ave NW) in a casual reflection circle to play games, snack, and chat about the weather we have experienced and the weather to come. We'll take time to share tips on how to stay cool and safe, and what taking collective action to beat the heat can look like.

This location is outside and uneven, grassy lawn. Please email [email protected] ahead if you require a raised chair or for other questions. Child-minding available. Light snacks provided.

An alternate location will be sent to those who have RVSPed in case weather or smoke requires us to move indoors.
